Horvat: 7,200 reconstruction applications filed, contracts for 4,800 properties ready

(Hina) - Construction Minister Darko Horvat said on Wednesday that of 7,200 applications submitted for the reconstruction of quake-damaged properties, contracts for roughly 4,800 were about to be signed.

"When of 7,200 applications, more than 4,800 refer to houses that have entered or are about to enter the process of reconstruction, I do not think that that is inefficient," Horvat said in response to President Zoran Milanović's statement that the post-quake reconstruction was slow and should be intensified.

Horvat said that he was ready to explain to President Milanović all the relevant figures, if necessary.
