(Hina) - The Croatian parliament on Tuesday confirmed Branko Bačić as the new Minister of Physical Planning, Construction and State Assets, after which he was sworn in.
Bačić received the support of 77 of the parliament's 151 deputies while 51 voted against. There were no abstentions.
Bačić succeeds Ivana Paladina, who left the post due to the slow and inefficient post-earthquake reconstruction of the region of Banovina and Zagreb.
On Monday, Bačić's work programme received the majority support of the parliamentary committees on physical planning and construction and economy.
