Hina - The government on Thursday adopted the Annual Plan for the Management of State-Owned Real Estate and Movable Property, with Physical Planning and State Asset Minister Branko Bačić, emphasising that the plan is one of three key documents that define the management of state-owned property.
Bačić told the government that the first key document is the Strategy for the Management of State Assets, the second is the Act on the Management of State-Owned Real Estate and Movable Property, and the third is this annual plan.
"The strategic goal we aim to achieve with this plan is sustainable, economical and transparent management of real estate and movable property owned by the Republic of Croatia," said the minister.

Three key measures
In order to achieve this strategic goal, the plan prescribes three key measures: the first is the activation of unused assets through the growth of investment projects; the second is the reduction of the portfolio of non-prospective assets through sales, donations, or the dissolution of co-ownership; and the third relates to the activities of the state-owned company Državne nekretnine, which is rapidly managing assets, renovating vacant flats so they can house protected tenants, and implementing an affordable rental programme, Bačić added.
"From the disposal of assets owned by the Republic of Croatia, we expect to generate around 60 million euros this year," the minister said.
