At today’s session, the Government accepted the proposal to sponsor the 2025 ArhiBau fair and its accompanying conference, which will take place from September 10 to September 13, 2025, at the Faculty of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy of the University of Zagreb. This year’s topic of the fair is “Housing for a Sustainable Community – Experiences and Guidelines”.
ArhiBau has established itself as one of the largest fairs and a central gathering point for professionals and the general public in the field of construction, physical planning and sustainable development in Croatia and the region. Leading manufacturers and suppliers of equipment, materials and solutions in architecture and construction will participate in the fair, including the three-day professional conference.
“It is important to point out that the central topic of the accompanying conference of this fair is “Housing for a Sustainable Community”, with sustainable and affordable housing also being the priority objective of the National Housing Policy Plan. By supporting this fair, we confirm our dedication to sustainable housing policies and smart space management,” Minister of Physical Planning, Construction and State Assets Branko Bačić said.
The conference is accompanied by architecture exhibitions and the Creative HUB - a platform for high school students, university students and creatives to express themselves.
The key topics represented in the fair include public investment and the construction of residential settlements, planning investments in public housing, spatial planning and designing, establishing a sustainable system of “industrialised” construction and long-term sustainability of publicly owned rental dwellings.
