The Ministry of Physical Planning, Construction and State Assets has carried out the process of modernising and upgrading the Physical Planning Information System (ISPU), including the development and establishment of a new ISPU module called Green Infrastructure Register, which will be presented in a large conference workshop on
13 October 2025 in Zagreb at 1 p.m. on the premises of the Catholic University of Croatia,
Ulica Filipa Vukasovića 1.
The Green Infrastructure Register is established as a separate ISPU module that enables gathering data on green infrastructure, registering the initial state and monitoring the trends of expansion, as well as registering the coverage of green urban renewal strategies in cities and municipalities, and the projects under their scope.
For the purpose of educating and training municipal and city officials to enter data on green infrastructure into the Register, as well as to present the possibilities of the new system, the Ministry has organised educational workshops where participants will be given specific training on how to use, view and enter data on green infrastructure in urban areas.
The training was continuously carried out in 2024 and 2025 in five cities - Zagreb, Split, Rijeka, Osijek and Varaždin. In 2024, 32 workshops involving 156 participants were held, while in 2025, 58 workshops involving 170 participants were held. The overall number of 2024 and 2025 workshop participants is 326.
Participation in the final conference workshop is free, and the workshop is intended for officials working in administrative bodies of municipalities and cities who are responsible for entering data on green infrastructure in urban areas into the Green Infrastructure Register, for designers involved in the preparation and development of green infrastructure projects and for officials of this Ministry.
