Final workshop “Green Infrastructure Register”

On Monday, October 13, 2025, the final workshop “Green Infrastructure Register” was held at the premises of the Catholic University of Croatia in Zagreb. Upon initial greeting, presentations were given on the Physical Planning Information System (ISPU) and its modules, including the Green Infrastructure Register.

The Green Infrastructure Register has been established as a separate ISPU system module that enables gathering data on green infrastructure, registering the initial state and monitoring the trends of expansion, as well as registering the coverage of the Green urban renewal strategies in cities and municipalities, and the projects under their scope.

Nearly 135 million euro from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan 2021-2026 and the Programme Competitiveness and Cohesion 2021-2027 was secured for the purpose of implementing the projects of developing green infrastructure and circular space and building management, while their successful implementation relies precisely on the Green Infrastructure Register, the new ISPU module.

The educational workshops were free and intended for officials working in administrative bodies of L(R)SGU who are responsible for entering data on green infrastructure in urban areas into said Register, for designers involved in the preparation and development of green infrastructure projects and for officials of the Ministry.

The training was continuously carried out in 2024 and 2025 in five cities - Zagreb, Split, Rijeka, Osijek and Varaždin. In 2024 and 2025, 91 workshops were held, involving 500 participants.
