New Urban Agenda adopted

From 17 to 20 October 2016 in Quito, Ecuador, the Third United Nations Conference on Housing and Sustainable Urban Development, HABITAT III, was held, ending with the adoption of the New Urban Agenda.
 
The conference was attended by 30 000 participants, out of which 10 000 accredited participants from 167 different countries.

Representatives of the Ministry of Construction and Physical Planning Members were also part of the delegation of the Republic of Croatia and participated in plenary sessions, round tables, lectures and other side events.

Assistant Minister for Physical Planning, Legal Affairs and EU Programmes, Igor Čižmek, represented the Republic of Croatia with his speech given at the high-level plenary session.

The work on the New Urban Agenda is to be continued by active participation in the implementation of the established goals, and by follow-up and reporting in line with the set time limits.
