Complete the survey on green infrastructure within ESPON GILL (Green Infrastructure at Local Level) project

The European Green Deal and Nature Restoration Regulation envisage the important role of local authorities in conserving, protecting and strengthening green infrastructure and green urban areas, but specific tools to support local authorities are lacking. With the aim of supporting local authorities to establish green infrastructure in cities and settlements, ESPON is conducting a GILL targeted analysis project - Green Infrastructure at Local Level to develop the methodology for measuring the demand for green infrastructure at the local level.

Within this project, with the aim of exchanging good practices and promoting mutual learning between colleagues and experts across the EU, ESPON calls upon all local authorities to submit their relevant plans/strategies of green infrastructure development. The plans/strategies submitted will be involved in a repository of good examples and serve as inspiration and/or guidance for other cities and settlements developing green infrastructure.

Policymakers, state officials and external experts can submit innovative plans by completing a short and simple survey available here.

If you have any questions regarding the survey, you can send them to the following e-mail address: rik.devreese@efi.int
