'First open partner dialogue' side event to the international expert conference 'Energy Efficiency in buildings - for a better tomorrow'

On 27 September 2018, the Ministry of Construction and Physical Planning, the Croatian Association of Heat-Façade Systems Manufacturers (HUPFAS), and the Croatia Green Building Council are organising a side event to the international expert conference 'Energy Efficiency in buildings - for a better tomorrow'. The side event is entitled "First open partner dialogue" and will be held at the Westin Hotel in Zagreb, with beginning at 12:00 hrs.

The theme of this side event is the implementation of the nearly zero-energy building standard and of the national Long-term strategy of energy renovation of buildings up to 2050.  The aim is to foster, through common dialogue, the successful implementation of the nearly zero-energy buildings standard, as well as of the national long-term strategy of energy renovation of buildings, in order to support the transformation, by 2050, of the existing building stock into a decarbonised and highly energy-efficient building stock.

The dialogue will gather representatives of state administration and local self-government units, the academic community and the expert public, the construction and energy sector and their supporting industries.

In the introductory part, the partners of this First open dialogue will be addressed by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia and Minister of Construction and Physical Planning Mr Predrag Štromar, and Assistant Minister for Construction and Energy Efficiency in the Buildings Sector Ms Maja-Marija Nahod will present the „Charter on cooperation aimed at decarbonisation of buildings by 2050“, which will be signed at this side event by the first group of partners: Ministry of Construction and Physical Planning, Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund, Croatian Association of Heat-Façade Systems Manufacturers (HUPFAS), Croatia Green Building Council, and the nZEB Cluster. By signing the charter, the efforts for constructive, active and continuous action by all stakeholders will be reaffirmed.

The themes of the First open partner dialogue will be:

  1. Smart financing and reducing investment risks
  2. Regulation and automation in buildings and e-mobility
  3. Decarbonisation of the building stock by 2050
  4. Establishment of single contact points
  5. Seismics and fire protection in building renovation
