Minister announces renovation of 387 buildings under energy poverty scheme

(Hina) - Construction Minister Branko Bačić said in Gospić on Monday that 387 apartment buildings, which are publicly or state owned or which used to be in the so-called social ownership, will undergo comprehensive and green renovation under a scheme to combat energy poverty.

The minister said that the energy renovation of the 387 apartment buildings in the areas of special state concern will cost €47 million and the funds will be ensured from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan and the state budget.

The scheme aims to make housing cheaper and help households that currently spend over 10% of their income on energy.

During his visit, the minister said that 56 apartment buildings in Lika-Senj County were added to the scheme.
