Hina - Physical Planning, Construction and State Assets Minister Branko Bačić on Monday awarded contracts worth €16.79 million in EU grants for 11 green urban infrastructure projects in Varaždin, Međimurje, Krapina-Zagorje and Bjelovar-Bilogora counties.

The projects are financed under the 2021-2027 Competitiveness and Cohesion Programme.

Minister Bačić said the investments would help expand urban green spaces and support the country's climate neutrality goals, adding that funding for similar projects would continue in the next EU financial period.

The largest grants were awarded to Čakovec (€4.48 million), Daruvar (€3.13 million) and Ludbreg (just over €2 million).
