Ministry Delegation in Riga, Latvia

The delegation of the Ministry of Construction and Physical Planning (MCPP) headed by Assistant Minister Assist.Prof. Maja-Marija Nahod, Ph.D., M.Sc.CE, participated from 4 to 6 June 2019 at the meeting of The Concerted Action on the Energy Performance Buildings Directive (CA EPBD V) in Riga.

The CA EPBD Project was launched by the European Commission for purposes of better application and implementation of the requirements under the Directive on energy performance of buildings, with all Member States and Norway participating in it. In the CA EPBD Project, representatives of national ministries or their linked institutions are involved that are in charge of preparing the technical, legal and administrative framework for EPBD implementation. The MCPP is a Project member in its capacity of institution responsible for transposition and implementation of the Directive on energy performance of buildings into national legislation and has been participating in the Project since 2007. Besides the Ministry, also the “Hrvoje Požar” Energy Institute (EIHP), or his expert representatives respectively, participates in the Project in the capacity of partner.

The Project is financed under the HORIZON 2020 Programme.

The Ministry of Construction and Physical Planning participates in the capacity of Management Team member and leader of theme CCT3 - Impact, Capacity and Data – Assist.Prof. Maja Marija Nahod, Ph.D., M.Sc.CE, and Irena Križ Šelendić, M.Sc.CE.

The second meeting of CA EPBD V project participants was held in Riga, Latvia, from 4 to 6 June 2019.

At the meeting in Riga, the Ministry of Construction and Physical Planning led two themes: „Energy Service Contracting in Buildings“ and „Energy Poverty – action, definition & mapping – Link to EPBD Art.2a“ organised and conducted on behalf of MGIPU by Assistant Minister Maja Marija Nahod, Head of Sector Irena Križ Šelendić, Heads of Service Diana Horvat and Nevena Štrbić, Iva Fakin and Damir Vuletić from the Agency for Transactions and Mediation in Immovable Properties (APN), Toni Borković from EIHP, and Ivan Šerić.
