MSP DATA WEEK 2025 conference held in Helsinki
From October 13 to 16, 2025 a series of events, working meetings and conferences on maritime spatial planning under the common name MSP DATA WEEK 2025 were held in Helsinki.
It was an opportunity to explore progress in MSP implementation, particularly in terms of data, tools, management and digital innovation, to network with experts from the fields of science, politics and practice, to explore innovation in data and digital tools and to contribute to shaping the MSP future.The main event was the final conference of the ReMAP project, where the participants were able, through case studies and practical sessions, to attend training on how to use ten analytical tools and to hear about findings developed by the ReMAP consortium over the past three years. Apart from training and practical sessions, the conference offered a space for dialogue between planners, scientists, decision-makers and stakeholders dedicated to improving maritime spatial planning in European seas.
In addition to the ReMAP conference, meetings of HELCOM-VASAB Baltic Sea working groups were held, along with a workshop on digital twins of the ocean and a working meeting of a technical expert group (TEG) on marine data.
The events were attended by representatives of all European coastal countries, and Croatia was represented by employees of the Institute for Spatial Development at the Ministry of Physical Planning, Construction and State Assets: Lidija Škec, Dr. Luka Babić and Robert Paj.
