New European Bauhaus at EXPO 2025 Osaka once again
After the first series of NEB events held at EXPO 2025 Osaka in May, the New European Bauhaus returns to Osaka in September.
Within Circular Economy Days (September 22-24, 2025), designed to encourage dialogue and cooperation between European and Japanese experts, policymakers, innovators and companies involved in circular economy, two NEB events will also take place:1. Fashion footprint: Unravelling the environmental impact of textiles
September 22, 10:30 a.m. - 12 a.m. (JST) - Polish pavilion
This event will address the environmental impact of the textile industry, including waste, pollution and resource depletion. It will gather policymakers, designers, manufacturers and sustainability advocates to share insights about forward thinking solutions that will help reimagine the future of textiles and build a more circular sector.
2. New European Bauhaus and Green Cities
September 22, 1:30 p.m. - 3 p.m. (JST) - EU pavilion
This event will explore what makes a city truly “green”; from addressing circular economy and nature-based solutions to urban space adapted to climate. It will bring forward inspiring examples of sustainable architecture, innovative use of materials and urban strategies that harmonise with nature. The event will gather city representatives, architects and sustainability advocates to share insights about creating greener, more inclusive and more beautiful urban environments.
Both events will be available online (live-streaming), while event recordings will also be available subsequently. Registration, and more information on lecturers and moderators, is available here.
