Replacement family homes in Krapina-Zagorje County to be completed by 2026
Hina- Expressing satisfaction with the pace of reconstruction of family homes damaged by the 22 March 2020 earthquake in Krapina-Zagorje County, Minister of Construction Branko Bačić said on Monday that he believes all replacement family homes in the county will be completed by the end of 2026.
Ahead of a meeting with County Prefect Željko Kolar, the minister visited four locations in Gornja Stubica and Donja Stubica where replacement family homes have been built or are nearing completion, as well as sites undergoing structural reconstruction."So far, 151 reconstruction projects have been completed in Krapina-Zagorje County, and another 51 are currently underway across the county," Bačić said.
He added that, in addition to the reconstruction of private properties, 147 publicly funded buildings have been completed using the Solidarity Fund, covering public-use buildings, municipal and transport infrastructure. He also highlighted the restoration of numerous landslides, roads and thoroughfares in Krapina-Zagorje County.
Prefect Kolar said that cooperation with Minister Bačić has been at a high level from the very beginning.
Earlier today, Bačić visited a block of buildings in Zagreb undergoing post-earthquake reconstruction, expressing satisfaction with the progress and stating that all major structural reconstructions of multi-residential buildings in Zagreb and Petrinja, affected by earthquakes in March and December 2020 respectively, should be completed by 2030.
