State property management expected to generate €75.4m this year
(Hina) - The government on Thursday adopted an annual plan for the management of state-owned real estate and movable assets, under which Croatia expects to generate around €75.4 million this year, Physicial Planning, Construction and State Assets Minister Branko Bačić said.
The plan, he said at a cabinet session, implements a vision of efficient, transparent and sustainable management of state assets. All projects included in the plan were coordinated with all bodies responsible for managing state assets - counties, major cities and the State Real Estate company. The plan elaborates on the strategic objectives set out in the strategy for the management of state-owned real estate and movable assets for the 2026-2035 period. The four strategic objectives are efficient management of strategically important real estate, non-strategic real estate, properties needed for the administrative needs of state budget users, as well as movable assets and temporarily seized property.
A total of €60.4 million relates to revenues generated under the law on the management of state-owned real estate and movable assets, while €15 million is planned under the law on unassessed construction land.
Of the total planned revenues, €34.8 million will go to the state budget, €5.3 million to counties, €6.8 million to local government units, while €28.5 million will belong to the State Real Estate company, in line with the decentralised model of managing state-owned properties.
