Information Officer

The right of access to information and the re-use of information held, available to or controlled by the Ministry of Physical Planning, Construction and State Assets is governed by the Act on the Right of Access to Information (Official Gazette 25/13 and 85/15).
 
The Act also prescribes the principles of the right of access, exemptions from the right of access and the procedure for exercising and protecting the right of access to information.
 
The objective of the Act is to enable and provide information to natural and legal persons through openness and publicity of the activities of public administration bodies, in accordance with the law. The right to information shall be exercised by submitting a request to the Ministry. If the request is submitted in writing, it is necessary to complete the Request form for access to information that can be sent to:
 
  • the address of the Ministry of Physical Planning, Construction and State Assets, Ulica Republike Austrije 14, 10 000 Zagreb;
  • the fax number: 01/3772 822;
  • can be delivered in person to the Ministry’s Registry Office at the adress Ulica Republike Austrije 14 in Zagreb on working days from 8:30 to 13:30 hrs., or
  • the e-mail address: zppi@mpgi.hr 
     
When submitting a request, no payment of administrative or court fees is required.
 
The Ministry of Physical Planning, Construction and State Assets is entitled to compensation of actual material costs incurred by providing information to the beneficiary of the right of access to information and re-use of information, as well as to compensation of the costs of delivering the requested information. The amount of fee for access to information and re-use of information shall be determined in accordance with the criteria referred to in Article 19(3) of the Act on the Right of Access to Information. The criteria for determining the amount of compensation of actual material costs and the costs of delivery of information are published in Official Gazette 12/14 and 15/14.
 
The Ordinance on the types and content of permits laying down the conditions for the re-use of information (Official Gazette 67/17) defines that information for re-use held by public authorities is available to users without restriction and for free use with an open licence. The open licence allows users to use information freely, for a commercial or non-commercial purpose, which includes reproduction, distribution, making available to third parties and amendments, with a mandatory indication of the source of the information.
