Energy renovation of schools with EU grants
Once again Croatia is celebrating May 9, Europe Day, and central event took place at the European square in Zagreb, organized together by the Commission representation office in Croatia and the Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds.
„Upon completion of energy renovation of primary school „Braća Radić“, significantly less funds will be earmarked for fuel consumption and more funds will remain in the city budget, in other words there will be more funds allocated for various school activities respectively“, minister Štromar said.
The building was built in 1989, with as many as 913 pupils attending classes. Upon energy renovation, the building energy class was changed from C to B.
During his visit, minister Štromar presented the Financing Decisions for energy renovation of one more school – Primary school „Antun Nemčić Gostovinski“, a project value amounting to HRK 5.9 million, out of which grants from the European Regional Development Fund amount to HRK 3.5 million. The anticipated energy savings upon energy renovation amount to 53.6 %.
In the Koprivnica-Križevci County territory, under the Call for Tenders by the Ministry of Construction and Physical Planning, 23 energy renovation projects have been contracted for a total value exceeding HRK 68 million, out of which grants exceed HRK 33.8 million.
