CONFERENCE 'INTEGRATED APPROACH TO LANDSCAPE PROTECTION, PLANNING AND MANAGEMENT'
ZAGREB, 20 October 2018. 

 

The National Conference on the implementation of the European Landscape Convention will be held in the Faculty of Architecture, University of Zagreb (Address: Fra Andrije Kačića Miošića 26, 10000, Zagreb, Croatia), on 20 October 2018.

The Conference is organised during the Chairmanship of Croatia of the Council of Europe for the Celebration of the International Landscape Day of the Council of Europe, by the Ministry of Construction and Physical Planning and the Croatian Institute for Spatial Development, and the Council of Europe – Secretariat of the European Landscape Convention, Directorate of Democratic Participation –, with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Croatia, the Ministry of Environment and Energy and the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund of Croatia, within the context of the Work Programme of the European Landscape Convention of the Council of Europe. The Conference aims to present the European Landscape Convention and to discuss its implementation in Croatia.  More information...

VISIT BY DELEGATION OF THE REGIONAL PARLIAMENT OF RIAU PROVINCE, INDONESIA, TO MINISTRY OF CONSTRUCTION AND PHYSICAL PLANNING
 

On Wednesday, 12 September 2018, the delegation of the Regional Parliament of Riau Province, accompanied by Ms Elbanita Ruru, Counsellor for Economic Affairs at the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia, visited the Ministry of Construction and Physical Planning. 

The delegation showed particular interest for the field of physical and spatial planning. The said field was the main topic discussed at the meeting, and the physical and spatial planning system of the Republic of Croatia was presented by the representatives of the Ministry, followed by an exchange of experiences. More information...

Within the Croatian Presidency of the Central European Initiative (CEI), the Ministry of Construction and Physical Planning organizes a professional international conference 'Energy Efficiency in buildings - for a better tomorrow', which will be held on 26 and 27 September 2018 at the Sheraton Hotel in Zagreb. H.E. CHINESE AMBASSADOR MR HU ZHAOMING PAYS VISIT TO
DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER AND MINISTER PREDRAG ŠTROMAR      

 

23 July 2018 - On Monday, 23 July 2018, Deputy Prime Minister and minister of construction and physical planning Predrag Štromar received the visit of H.E. Ambassador of the People's Republic of China Mr Hu Zhaoming, who was accompanied by political counsellor MR Li Xin and second secretary Mr Zhou  Yi.

Ambassador Hu Zhaoming first expressed his huge satisfaction about the fact that a Chinese company was awarded the tender for the capital project of Pelješac bridge construction, and both sides agreed that for the successful realization of such a project full cooperation and support was required, along with the establishment of an appropriate coordination mechanism. 9 July 2018 - The High-Level Political Forum with the theme "Transformation towards Sustainable and Resilient Societies" is the main United Nations platform on sustainable development, and it has a central role in the follow-up and review of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the global level. CROATIAN-ALBANIAN CO-OPERATION GOES ON: JOINT INTERGOVERNMENTAL CROATIAN-ALBANIAN COMMISSION ON ECONOMIC CO-OPERATION HELD ITS 5TH SESSION     
 

18 May 2018. - On 15 May 2018, the 5th session of the Joint Intergovernmental Croatian-Albanian Commission on Economic Co-operation was held in Zagreb. The joint commission was chaired by Zvonimir Novak, assistant minister of economy, entrepreneurship and crafts of the Republic of Croatia, and Albana Shkurta, deputy minister of finance and economy of the Republic of Albania.

On behalf of the Ministry of Construction and Physical Planning, the session was attended by Ines Androić Brajčić, head of Sector for EU programmes and projects, who particularly highlighted spatial planning and urban development, as well as energy renovation of buildings and use of renewable energy sources as fields for common economic co-operation.  More information...

FINA organized the first visibility event of the ePIC -
Electronic Public Identification Croatia      

 

17 May 2018. - Financial agency, acting Project Coordinator, organized the first visibility event of the ePIC – Electronic Identification Croatia project funded by Connecting Europe Facility EU Programme. The public presentation of the project was held on May 16, 2018 at the House of Europe in Zagreb, Croatia.

The overall goal of the ePIC project is to promote the uptake and speed up the use of eID Digital Service Infrastructure (DSI) among EU/EEA citizens and public entities established in Croatia. More information...

TWO WORLD BANK MISSIONS VISITED THE MINISTRY OF CONSTRUCTION AND PHYSICAL PLANNING    
 

18 April 2018 - After the visit, on Tursday 12 April 2018, of the Doing Business Reform Mission led by Mr Todor Milchevski to the Ministry of Construction and Physical Planning with the objective of an in-depth analysis of several topics covered by the Doing Business report and its reform, on 17 April 2018 State Secretary Danijel Meštrić received the visit of a second World Bank mission, the Data Collection Mission, led by Ms Joanna Nasr and mission member Ms Nicole Anouk Leger. More information...

ENERGY RENOVATION OF NURSERY SCHOOLS,
SCHOOLS, AND PUPIL HOMES...  

 

10 April 2018. - Under the Call for 'Energy renovation of buildings and use of renewable energy sources in public institutions performing educational activities', up to 10 April 2018, a total of 216 contracts were signed on allocation of grants from the European Regional Development Fund. To remind, the Ministry's call was open for submission of applications in the period from 22 November 2016 to 20 February 2017.

GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF CROATIA ADOPTED DECISION ON PREPARATION OF AMENDMENTS TO SPATIAL PLAN OF AREAS WITH SPECIAL FEATURES OF PLITVICE LAKES NATIONAL PARK 
 

5 April 2018 - At its today's session, the Government of the Republic of Croatia adopted the Decision on preparation of amendments to the Spatial plan of areas with special features of Plitvice Lakes National Park.
 

The competent plan development authority is the Ministry of Construction and Physical Planning, and the coordinator is the Croatian Institute for Spatial Development. More information...

ENERGY RENOVATION OF MULTI-RESIDENTIAL BUILDINGS  
 

30 March 2018. - Under the Call for 'Energy renovation of multi-residential buildings', up to 27 March 2018, a total of 576 contracts were signed on allocation of grants from the European Regional Development Fund. To remind, the Ministry's call was open for submission of applications in the period from 17 October 2016 to 31 January 2017, and under the call 649 applications were received, out of which 596 projects meet the eligibility criteria. The amount of total investment exceeds one billion kuna, with more than 560 million kuna consisting of grants from the European Regional Development Fund.

H.E. ANDRZEJ JASIONOWSKI ON INAUGURAL VISIT TO DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER AND MINISTER PREDRAG ŠTROMAR
 

6 March 2018 - Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Croatia and Minister Predrag Štromar received on inaugural visit the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Croatia H.E. Andrzej Jasionowski, accompanied by Deputy Ambassador and Minister Counsellor Mr Grzegorz Gawin.

By way of introduction, the interlocutors pointed out the excellent relations at all levels and the common goals linking the two amicable countries. They also mentioned the very successful cooperation taking place in many areas. More information...

AMENDMENTS TO STATE-SUBSIDISED HOUSING LAW TO FACILITATE NEW PROGRAMME
 
1 February 2018 - The government on Thursday put forward to parliamenta bill of amendments to the legislation on state-subsidised housing, known as POS, in order to enable a new housing programme aimed at retaining and attracting personnel lacking in certain industries, primarily in under-developed areas and to regulate the maximum sales price for POS accommodation and land.

Construction and Physical Planning Minister Predrag Stromar said that one of the most important provisions of the new law would be to ensure secured accommodation not only for state officials but public servants within the framework of a special POS scheme, according to which apartments would be built and leased out. MINISTER ŠTROMAR: ALTERNATIVE ACCOMMODATION TO BE PROVIDED THIS WEEK FOR LANDSLIDE-AFFECTED KOSTAJNICA RESIDENTS
 
25 January 2018 - In a talk with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Construction and Physical Planning Predrag Štromar, all residents of the Stari put street in Kostajnica, whose family houses were destroyed by a land slide two weeks ago, expressed their wish to continue to live in Hrvatska Kostajnica, with the minister saying that this week temporary accommodation would be provided to all these residents, in which they would live while waiting for a permanent solution.

Minister Štromar confirmed after the talk that to all those accommodated in the Central Hotel, temporary alternative accommodation shall be provided this week already, up to the final solution. As he said, he and his associates talked to all the families concerned and heard their wishes and comments. More information...

US AMBASSADOR TO CROATIA WILLIAM ROBERT KOHORST ON INAUGURAL VISIT TO MINISTER PREDRAG ŠTROMAR
 
25 January 2018 - On Thursday, 25 January 2018, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Construction and Physical Planning Predrag Štomar received on inaugural visit the United States' Ambassador to Croatia H.E. William Robert Kohorst.

In presenting the Ministry's scope of activities, Minister Štromar laid particular emphasis on spatial planning, which is directly linked to the planning of major investments, e.g., in the fields of infrastructure, production processes and tourism. More information...

FOREIGN PERSONS PERFORMING PHYSICAL PLANNING AND BUILDING ACTIVITIES IN THE REPUBLIC OF CROATIA
 

A foreign legal person that is established in an EEA contracting state and performs physical planning, design and/or professional construction supervision activities, construction activities, building project management activities or activities of testing and preliminary studies may perform in the Republic of Croatia, on a temporary or occasional basis, those activities which it is certified to perform pursuant to the legislation of the country in which it is established, after it submits a written statement to that effect to the Ministry.
