The basic and baseline information relating to construction products is that the marketing of construction products and the making available on the market of construction products is regulated in two main areas:
 

• harmonised area to which the harmonised rules laid down in Regulation (EU) No 305/2011 apply and in which construction products are marked with the “CE” marking
• a non-harmonised area to which national rules apply and in which construction products are (as a rule) designated by a “C” mark,
