Call 4c1.3 'Energy renovation of buildings and use of renewable energy sources in public institutions performing educational activities'

November 22, 2016 – Launch of Call to submit project proposals 'Energy renovation of buildings and use of renewable energy sources in public institutions performing educational activities'

The purpose of the Call for submission of project proposals 'Energy renovation of buildings and use of renewable energy sources in public institutions performing educational activities' is the implementation of energy renovation measures and the use of renewable energy sources in public sector buildings in which public institutions carry out educational activities; these measures shall result, through an integrated approach, in reduced energy consumption for heating/cooling. The Ministry's call was open for submission of applications in the period from 22 November 2016 to 20 February 2017. Contracting of 215 projects of energy renovation of buildings and use of renewable energy sources in public institutions performing educational activities is under way, and to these projects more than HRK 348 million of grants from the ERDF shall be allocated. The buildings that applied under this Call shall achieve an average of about 66% of savings.

Eligible applicants under this Call are:
 
  • local or regional self–government units that are:

a) owners of buildings that are the subject of a project in which public institutions, established by a local or regional self-government unit or the Republic of Croatia, carry out educational activities , or

b) founders of public institutions performing educational activities in buildings that are the subject of the project, and these buildings subject to the project are owned by a public institution or local or regional self-government unit or the Republic of Croatia;

  • public institutions performing educational activities, provided that they cumulatively meet the following two requirements:

a) that they were established by a local or regional self–government unit or the Republic of Croatia, and

b) that the buildings in which they carry out the mentioned activity are owned by them or by the local or regional self-government unit or the Republic of Croatia.

The Ministry of Construction and Physical Planning once again invites all interested applicants to submit as soon as possible, and by 6 February 2017 at the latest, their project proposals to the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund (Energy Efficiency Sector) as the project partner, so that they could be analysed in a timely and thorough manner and that the applicants would have enough time for possible updates of the application documentation.

For such project proposals, the Fund would be able to guarantee that applicants will obtain from the Energy Efficiency Sector the Partner Statement and the Partnership Agreement.
