From 14 to 16 March 2019, the Spanish city of Seville hosted the 22nd Council of Europe Meeting of the Workshops for the implementation of the Council of Europe Landscape Convention on “Water, landscape and citizenship in the face of global change”. The Ministry delegation was headed by Assistant Minister Sanja Šaban, and in the programme participated also delegation members Lidija Škec and Ingrid Gojević from the Institute for Spatial Development.

Once again Croatia is celebrating May 9, Europe Day, and central event took place at the European square in Zagreb, organized together by the Commission representation office in Croatia and the Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds.

On 11 and 12 February 2019, representatives of the UfM Thematic Working Group on Affordable and Sustainable Housing paid a two-day working visit to their hosts, the Ministry of Construction and Physical Planning and the Agency for Transactions and Mediation in Immovable Properties (APN).

Ministry of Construction and Physical Planning hosted the ESPON workshop on the Case Study “Croatian Coast and Islands” as part of the “Maritime Spatial Planning and Land-Sea Interactions” project. ESPON Cooperation programme is implemented through four Specific Objectives, and Targeted Analysis are one of the means to implement Specific Objective 2 - “Upgraded knowledge transfer and use of analytical user support”.

State Secretary Željko Uhlir and Adviser of the Minister Nevenka Koričančić paid a working visit to the Regional Development Ministry of the Czech Republic. In order to strengthen international co-operation, a meeting was held with the Director of the Housing Policy Department, Jirí Klíma, who presented the housing policy and projects currently being implemented in their country.

Hong Kong is hosting the annual Passive and Low Energy Architecture (PLEA) conference on sustainable architecture and spatial planning amidst climate change. Ministry of Construction and Physical Planning Heads of sectors Ines Androić Brajčić and Irena Križ Šelendić are attending the conference

On December 3^rd 2018 Ministry of Construction and Physical Planning became a member of the Partnership on Security in Public Spaces as part of the Urban Agenda for the EU. Since 2016 Urban Agenda deals with integrated, coordinated and sustainable solutions to urban matters in EU countries
